Tarangire National Park

Tarangire is defined by its ancient baobab trees and the Tarangire River, the lifeline that draws in some of the largest elephant herds in Tanzania during the dry season. The park sees far fewer visitors than the Serengeti, making for a more intimate safari.

Beyond elephants, Tarangire's varied habitat of acacia woodland, swamp, and grassland supports an excellent diversity of birdlife and healthy predator populations, particularly between June and October when animals concentrate along the river.
