Mahale Mountains

Reachable only by light aircraft and boat, Mahale Mountains National Park protects a forested range that plunges straight into the clear waters of Lake Tanganyika, the world's longest freshwater lake. It is one of the last strongholds of wild chimpanzees in East Africa.
