Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti is Tanzania's most iconic wilderness, an ocean of golden grassland stretching to the horizon in every direction. It is home to the largest concentration of plains game left on earth, and its name, from the Maasai word "Siringet", means "the place where the land runs on forever".

Game drives here move at the pace of the wildlife itself, following resident lion prides, cheetah on the open plains, and, for much of the year, the immense herds of the Great Migration as they cross the Mara and Grumeti rivers.
